Idle Caretakers

My zoo caretakers all suddenly got stuck in an idle loop. I gave up on them and hired new ones. When I fired the ones that were stuck, they remained idle and won't leave the zoo. Any known way to fix this, and maybe prevent it in the future?

Where are they? Are they all in a certain place? Can they reach a path or can you pick them up?

Where are they? Are they all in a certain place? Can they reach a path or can you pick them up?

They were on random paths in my zoo when it happened. I dropped them on a staff path by a staff room but they remained idle. When I fired them and they didn't move, I put them on a path by the zoo entrance. They're still there now, many in-game years later, sighing and kicking their feet lol
