IF Elite ever has base raiding/salvaging

I hope the devs look at From Other Suns to get some design ideas.

Lone Echo would be great for the in space stuff, and i think From other suns great for the stuff with gravity.

both these titles prove to me that 1st person stuff can work just fine in VR if a little thought is put into it.

I thought the procedural levels were quite well done in From Other Suns though the basic off-ship gameplay wasn't much more than the coloured keycard/shoot everything stuff from original Doom. I played a fair bit on the free weekend, but not being one for multiplayer with strangers I don't think it was for me. I've had much more fun in the Doom3 mod for my first-person VR.

One thing I hope FDev do (should we ever be unstuck from the seats), besides slavishly copying Lone Echo for zero-G stuff, is to take into account differing gravity levels. There was a brief flash of this in CoD:Infinite Warfare where the player got to bound across the Moon's surface for a few seconds before entering an airlock and getting 1G switched back on :/

I trust you've got your reasons for avoiding multiplayer, but FOS multiplayer is tons of fun. The community is generally helpful and cordial, and character movement animations are hilarious.
