Now FDev have made them trading posts I will be able to use all that storage for Carrier Fuel!

Hmmm I wonder how many jumps worth of fuel you could store, one would expect at least 10 jumps!

I really hope not, it's 50,000ly to my bookmark, that would take 15 weeks to get there! (If I log in everyday to make a jump)
Oh boy that raises another question, IF it takes a day to jump am I effectively unable to play the game till I arrive at my destination? Roughly 4 Months! Oh please no!

I have a 84ly Anaconda which gets me there in 8 hours, the idea is I take my fleet

Of course not. You'll have to equip cargo bays which will cost another 5 bn. A piece. And then you need to engineer them. They start at grade 5 and progress to grade 15. An extensive table of ultra rare ingredients will be added to the game and there will be no way to find them other than pure luck. Happy hunting, you'll need approx. 150 ingredients to advance through a grade.
You will also need to hire service crew to operate the logistics. They take 50% of your revenue as upkeep, so pick your carrier location wisely. The debt threshold has been risen to facilitate players become acquainted with the new mechanics and should not exceeded decomission limits under 2 weeks of operation.

I have a suspicion that most of the questions explorers have asked will either not be answered or have disappointing answers. I've been around the block a few times as you know.

I also expect the focus of the stream will be PewPew and Trade, neither of which I have any interest. Ho Hum

You can schedule jumps from the galaxy map according to earlier comments, so you don't actually need to be in your FC to jump, just fly around wherever you want and run it remotely.
