If Fehu closed as a exploit why wasn't Ceos/Sophis?

Because forums went nuts afterwards, people complained that they got their easy money source taken away. And FD didn't close Sothis/Robigo, but nerfed smuggling missions a bit.

Look at the bug report, the reason it was flagged as exploit seems to be because the mission Board got nuts. Places like Sothis you get a variety of mission including more or less profitable ones (I think? I actually just guessing :p ) which as it looks wasn't the case there - Same typ of mission, same requierment, about same payment and only from one faction. Too much samey to be working right if you ask me.

And why do you care? Really, how it affects YOUR gaming?

Just interested if there was any reason for the inconsistency. Is there any sense behind why one system has long-range missions as an exploit shut-down whilst others don't?

Which bug report? The one I posted just has screen shots of the state it is in now - loads of Donation missions, one faction having many smuggling missions. But all the long range (legal) trading missions are gone. So as I read it it was like Sophis (i.e. offering many types of missions) and was nerfed to reduce the mission types.

Hm? The one you linked in your OP shows not that but what I said, only one faction has mission the others all at 0/0 and the missions that factions has are all the same aside from minor payment variants.

Maybe I missunderstand something, can be, I'm a bit confused now!

Frontiter has stopped Fehu offering long-range missions as it was seen by them as an exploit, see here https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...no-missions-or-only-donate-missions-available

What was different between Fehu and Ceos and Sophis that mean meant the later were not seen as an exploit?

Also note that Fehu was "fixed" by making it only offer donation missions, so now this can be used to rank up in the Empire very quickly. So that's now a bit of an exploit too.

Because Fehu is right in the middle of the Bubble. Ceos and Sothis, because of their locations, have to offer you long range missions. The only place that they can ask you to go deliver cargo/data that would not be a long range mission is Robigo.

I will not debate on this being an exploit or not, but just to answer your specific question, the game is only online, the background sim is influenced by all players even those in solo, and those systems are frequented by a lot of players who are send in a limited number of destination systems (around +100 players per system per day) which does have an effect on all players interested in the BGS in those destination systems.

Fehu is way out of the bubble. It's further "down" from the bubble as Sothis is "South" of the bubble. Sol is 468LY distant.

Sorry I wasn't very clear.

Currently all but one faction offer Donation missions only, the other faction offers illegal smuggling missions only. That's what I've seen from hopping around all the stations for 24 hours to check.

That's different from the bug report that shows no Donation missions.

But as per the bug report all the legal long-range trade missions (such as you get at Sophis) are now gone - I assume removed by Frontier.
