I have the previous solo-only game, Deep Space D6, and it’s essentially FTL rendered into cardboard and dice. It’s a cracking little game that came with a free downloadable Choose-Your-Own-Adventure campaign and had loads of replayability.
This sequel expands on some features, including ship equipment upgrades, recruitable crew and away-team missions, and also introduces multiplayer co-op (though it can still be played solo).
The earlier game had a retro 80’s look to it, whilst this is more 16-bit era with a dash of Designer’s Republic work on PlayStation’s WipEout.
