Will I have access to my current save / data from my PC version?

I'm considering buying it to spend more time in the lounge with the kids. (Yes, poor attempt, but a dad's gotta get his spacekicks somehow!)

Anyway, will this mean a complete restart or will i still have my usual game / ships etc?

As far as I'm aware, they are two separate ID's. So starting again will be the option. No bad thing... maybe time to switch to being a bad guy.. ;)

No, you will have a completely new Cmdr. I'm cruising around in kitted out Cobra doing smuggling missions, making money is easy for newbies now

It's two separate saves at this point in time (e.g. essentially the Xbox beta version).

I read somewhere that it was going to be the same save going forward when it properly launches on the Xbox, but I'm not in a position to look.

Ahh righto then.
Fair enough.

Maybe it's time (as you say) to try being a pirate without worrying about ruining my rep with factions etc! :D
