If I ever get to the Empire Systems...

...I'm gonna be sooo rich with all the bounty claims I've stacked up while killing in Federation Space.
Or maybe not, once I take into account the fuel costs etc of getting there.

Why am I getting Empire and Alliance bounties when hunting in Federation Space exactly? They are pretty useless to me as I'm not planning on making the maaaaaassive journey to cash them in.

HOWEVER, since my space knowledge is minor at best, is there anywhere in Federation Space (I'm currently in / near Aiabiko) that I can cash these in?
Otherwise, I don't see much point in having them other than to mercilessly tease me with dreams of wealth.

I feel like I won the lottery in the UK, but I have to pick it up in person in Cairns, Australia....

Really? I guess I just assumed the universe was probably divided into a sort of 3-way pie style affair and that I was probably 100's of jumps away from Empire.
I can never seem to "see" the system maps of systems more than 10/15 jumps away, so don't even know what direction to head in.

There are often little outposts of each faction in a sea of another - they are not at war or anything ....Yet.

No we are in a little bubble of occupied space. Less than 1% of 1% of 1%........of the available systems.
Zoom out in the galaxy map until you see red systems

Filter the map to show allegiance and scroll 'down' - hundreds of 'red' systems should appear.
It's far in a Sidewinder, but not in other ships.

The ideal place is only a few jumps away from empire federation and alliance and then using kill warrant scanner you can start racking up some real bounties! I netted over 250k in less than half hour in federation alone and have a further 100 to cash in empire and about 20k in alliance! Bounty hunting may not pay as many credits per hour as trading but it's a lot more fun and it can pay well enough!

If you are wanted in Imperial space you might want to run away to Federal or Alliance space. That's why you get Imperial bounties in Federal space.
