Whats the quickest way to xfer my credits ? NOTE : Not burn/waste, but xfer to other CMDRs. I could dock on a carrier and engage in negative sales, if it was set up for that, but didn't really want to make the rich richer. I could suicide, take the free-winder, buy another huge hull, rinse/repeat.. But I'd rather spread the wealth ( not like credits aren't stupid easy to get ).
I guess I could load up cutter with the most expensive things I could buy and jettison them.. But billions of credits would still take more time than I have will to invest.
Any other ideas ?
If your intention is to reach a stage where your balance is sufficiently low that earning credits will start to mean something again, then start making political donations.
Right from the beginning in 2014, I chose to almost exclusively support the Federation. I did end up Friendly with the Alliance without trying, but I have remained Neutral (actually in negative closer to Unfriendly) with the Empire, and merely a Serf, while being Allied and Admiral with the Federation. A big part of this allegiance has been that the Federation requires me, whenever docked, that I make political donations to Federation factions with whom I’m not yet Allied. It costs me a fortune, but it’s an obligation. As a result, after more than 7 years and thousands of hours I have “only” 750 million credits to my name, one ship (a Cobra Mk III), and some stored modules from ships I previously owned and engineered (only owning one ship at a time over the years, like the Phantom which I owned for 4 years).
Often I find myself making a loss in credits over several play sessions, and need to go and do something profitable (though enjoyable) to make some money back. Honestly, playing this way has meant that for me, credits have always meant something (also because I never used any of the grindy get-rich-quick exploits/schemes).
So maybe give it a go. Support a worthy superpower and its many factions. Which of course would be the Federation. I guarantee you it won’t be long before you feel like the “support” mission board is bleeding you dry. But it’s all for a good cause.
