Pink Floyd's new album The Endless River was released yesterday, Its 90% instrumental and an ode to Richard Wright and his keyboard work. Its very melancholic with very good arrangement and an almost sad and lonely thread running though it and it suits ED perfectly. As is common place with modern Floyd an overriding theme is communication or lack of which again fits in perfectly with ED.

Sometimes some country music (Alison Krauss and Union Street Station mainly) when I'm "space trucking".

I prefer educational stuff. Like audiobooks or science videos on YT. You learn better while playing, right? Playing games and getting smarter. Other than that, the ED soundtrack is perfectly fine.

It would be nice to be able to put our own music for occasions (sc, combat, etc.)
You could that in Evochron Mercenary and it was really nice feature.

or when not music: audio books! << recommend this if you need to really relax - start a good audio book and go deep exploring. (its even immersive, who wouldnt listen to an audio book while exploring the deep space?)
