if planet zoo made a dlc with hybrids only

my favourite hybrid is a liger but i want to know what other hybrids would be cool, and MAYBE Frontier would look at this post and make a new update where animals can cross breed, and if that happens what hybrids would you like in it?

It's in incredibly poor taste for modern zoos to have these hybrids, in fact, most don't.
Animals like ligers have incredibly short life spans, and are generally unhealthy, suffering from early onset bone damage to neurological problems. Since tigers and lions don't share the same habitats, this doesn't occur naturally in the wild.
These animals also hold no conservation purpose and are there to draw in money, which is why it's so frowned upon, to allow suffering for profitable gain.

I understand it's a game, but since PZ is generally about conservation of species we have and protecting them, I wouldn't want hybrids at all.

I have to agree I wouldn’t really want hybrids either. Ligers and Tigons are cool cats but really shouldn’t happen. I’d much rather have genuine species in game than hybrids. I suppose frontier could make a inclusion somewhat educational in including them but it’s probably not worth all the jumping through hoops to make it happen. I think I’d rather have a Eurasian brown bear then hybrids and we have 2 subspecies already.

I also agree these hybrids 90% of the time suffer from the genetic mutations. This is the case for white Siberian tigers and other albinos as well. I would rather see more subspecies of the lion and tiger then hybrids.

I have to agree, it would offer no valuable or meaningful message that can be related to any modern and accredited Zoo. Now if Frontier was to acquire the rights from Netflix to built a game based on Tiger King, completely separate from Planet Zoo, then go for it. In any case with the limited spots for animals and DLCs and the thousands of animals still missing in the game, setting aside all ethics and educational messages of the game, it would still be highly unlikely.

Great, now we have this idea floating in this forum :p

I fully agree with this. Also, personally albino-breeding is a border-line situation for me but I can understand that this is an in-game feature.

With a lot of people wanting different kind of species, don't see this happen (anytime soon or at all). This is a controversial topic.

I seriously hope not. Planet Zoo is about conservation and hybrid big cats are only bred for the 'cool' factor, obviously can't be released into the wild, and have a slew of health problems. White tigers are already bad enough.

I'm not a fan of hybrids. Even though cool looking, it is not as nature intended the animals to be.

It's also a pretty useless idea. Because all male Ligers are infertile.
Besides that, all know Ligers have been purposely bred as Ligers, It's something that does not happen IRL.

Definitely not, it's bad enough that private 'zoo' owners are spitting out hybrids IRL, let's not add that to a game that is doing a great job of emphasizing conservation.
I'm sure at some point we'll get a liger mod once the game's more mod friendly. But yeah as it was stated above, male hybrids are almost always sterile, so, breeding a liger wouldn't amount to much. You couldn't really release that thing into the wild either, where is it supposed to go???
