If the FD Store is down tomorrow because of heavy traffic, if we already have enough ARX can we just buy the Panther Clipper through the game?

With other games when something that has been looked forward to for so many by so long sometimes their store has gotten completely bogged down and it was a mess.

In anticipation of that possibility (no matter how small) and the fact that sometimes my CCs or bank has declined the sale because I am in the US and FD is in the UK, (I have started giving advanced notice of a purchase to try to get around that, although my newest card only requires a 2nd authentication and it goes right through) I went ahead and purchased more than enough ARX today.

If the store gets clogged and freezes everything up will I be able to purchase the Clipper in game, or will it completely shut the game down also?

If there is a chance of everything getting clogged and frozen I ask that you all wait until Wednesday to get the Clipper so I can get mine on the morrow lol, jk. Thank you.

You cannot buy an early access ship in game until you have bought the early access with Arx from the store.
Often the biggest issue can be the process of buying Arx for the purchase being clogged up because people haven’t got them in advance.

You can buy the ARX ships in-game though, as long as you already have the ARX, I think - I don't remember 100%. I don't know if the ARX process getting clogged up also clogs the in-game purchases though.

At stations I have the option to buy the ships with ARX but do not know about early access ships. I am sure it takes one to the store page though.

Today going directly to the store from Windows I could not get past clicking on payment type without getting a message that it is currently not working or something like that.

I remembered that there is an option to buy ARX in the main menu of the game, so I fired it up and clicked on that option. It took me to the store online, and I was able to buy them finally.

I hope tomorrow goes smoothly for all.

I am glad I have my ARX bought and showing in the store and in the game, I hope I can make a few clicks and get my Stellar Panther with no issues.
