does it have external tracking?! Am not interested in that am happy with the Rift und maybe upgrade to a CV2 at some point when one comes out but first I need a 1180 which isn't even out for like at least a year!
Until than my 1080 is the perfect partner for my Rift!

What is interesting is that it 'reads' your eyes and automatically adjusts to each wearer's IPD. It makes me wonder whether that could also make it render the 'sweet spot' to wherever your eyes are looking, and therefore be less taxing on PC hardware by blurring out the rest (like in real eyesight).

Thats called FOVeated display and is a separate technology:
