It was. Original python was glorious. Too good. So frontier hit it. Hard.
If there was one thing I wish, it was that Python got it's jump range back. It would make a fantastic alternative for long range smuggling and exploration. I sold mine. So i'd give a lot to get it back.

A Honk on the ADS doesn't get you first discovered - you have to target each star/planet/moon individually to get a first discovered by or each system would be fully discovered by the same commander.
