If you could have only one ship it would be....?

Currently pursuing a one ship at a time career. Not that it matters for this question (and ship transfer may have really rendered it obsolete) but I am curious as to the community's thoughts.

Guess I'll start - and this is strictly built on my play style I suppose - I would have to go with a Asp Explorer or (in a very close second) the Python.

The Asp Explorer can really do it all with its capabilities, # of internals, and module size...again for my style of play which is a little bit of everything. YMMV depending on what you like to do in ED.

Dropship.

All the multirole goodness, some proper heavy feeling with a trademark drift, maybe some kind of special (military) passenger cabins some day, Core Dynamics cockpit and interior, and of course, medium pads.

I'm liking my Corvette, but I really for some odd, perverted reason want to say my engineered to the max T6. That little guy with the Chris Foss paint is just plain fun.

Perhaps playing Powerplay too long has made me a little bit crazy....

Tough question, I would probably go with a Super Star Destroyer :D

Python without question. Can fight, can haul, can smuggle, can mine, can be made to explore or even pirate, in short, can do it all. And is the largest to do so without losing access to outposts.

Love the Python!
My ONLY issue with it is its non-engineered speed and jump range. Beautiful ship though.

And GF why the Cutter? What style of play do you do the most?

Well, I'm mainly a pirate, combat, then smuggling, and finally exploring.

Need a ship that can take a beating (outrun those that outgun me and tank/escape those that outrun me), has a lot of internals, can travel, and can haul. (I modded mine extremely so it's probably why I love it so much)

G5 Dirty Drive 450+ Boost speed
G3 Wep focused Distributor (to compensate for the weak distributor class)
2.5k MJ of shield with reinforced prismatic and only two G5 heavy duty shield booster
G5 Armor on light alloy (no mass increase only armor increase)
G5 FSD increased range (20 LY laden)
2 phase sequence (G3 Efficient) medium pulse turrets
1 Emissive (G3 Efficient) large pulse
1 Scramble (G3 Efficient) large pulse
1 Corrosive (G5 Efficient) huge MC
1 Drag munition packhound
1 screening shell frag cannon (probably going to switch this one out)

I can pretty much keep firing with only two pip in weps for a long time and infinitely if I only use my turrets and a the huge MC.

3 Heat sinks
2 Chaff
1 Cargo scanner
1 8A Shield Cell Bank (powered in combat)

Uh, that's a hard decision. See my 4 types of ships and you know what I mean.

Mh, I think it would be the Clipper. (my head says AspX though)

AspX for sure. Even if just based on the fact that every time I sell one, I end up buying another pretty soon afterwards.

Corvette as number 2. Doesn't have the jump of the 'Conda but I just love flying it as a multi-role capable combat ship.

i feel the same about my DBE. it is a lot of fun to make up for a ships weaknesses with engineering. maybe i'll change my vote for a cobra or python to a DBE. to-few-internals-but-a-large-MC-on-a-small-ship-ftw!

Right now I'd go with Python, only because I don't think I could stand exploring in my T9 and I do love to go exploring (In my AspX). I don't have the cutter yet though, and I'm hoping it will be such a bask-worthy ship as to change my mind, even while I doubt I could stand exploring in it either.
