If you could pick 5 animals that were sure to make the game what would they be?

Like the title says choose five animals that if you knew for sure would end up in game. Not necessarily five animals you feel are essential necessarily but five that you would pick for your own personal want or need. I know choosing just five is a difficult choice as I would pick a couple hundred more if it wouldn’t limit the game’s performance but my five would be:
1) Southern White Rhino- Simply too iconic not to include this species. Sure a black rhino will do but I personally need these guys in my zoos for African inspired community exhibits.
2) Meerkat- Another personal pick a essential animal for sure but one I’d love to see regardless.
3) Black Howler Monkey- Of course I want a gibbon but from a personal want these monkeys would definitely top my list. I would love to build a zoo in game and hear their calls across the zoo. A red or mantled howler would also do I guess.
4) Lynx- I favor the Eurasian or Canada species but the Iberian would also do. These guys would give us a much needed small cat in game. And one I’d love to see. A Caracal or Pallas cat would be my alternate pick.
5) Pelican- I know not a top pick by no means but like I read somewhere in the forum I’m yet to see a zoo without them. These for me personally would make a great community exhibit animal with many species and would be neat to see swimming in my zoo. I chose this over a close sixth pick which would be a Manatee species but since we don’t know if frontier has plans for fully aquatic animals in the future I’ll stick with the Pelican.

So hard to choose, but:

1 - Lynx (Iberian or Eurasian)
2 - California sea lion
3 - Moose
4 - Tasmanian devil
5 - Meerkat

I would have said ocelot, musk ox and platypus, emu, wombats but the arctic dlc, south america dlc and australian dlc all came and went. The reality is we're not getting them.

For my own wishlist:

Meerkat
Common Wombat
African or Amur Leopard
Asian Small Clawed Otter
Capybara

Of course, of these 4 of them were in my "10 essential animals list" from a few months back-which kind of took the entirety of the game and not our own personal wants, but darn it I'm going to not give up on my Wombat quest.

1. Asian small clawed otter
2. California sea lion
These two are those, that I would always miss if they weren't added. The next three are just a big wish but can also change as I got new ideas.

3. Maned Wolf
4. Any Leopard, but preferably Armur.
5. Any European, North American and South American animal I can get. Most animals I miss for building a zoo that is close to the ones I know live there.

All in all, I wish for more smaller or medium sized animals.

1. Meerkat
2. Grey Crowned Crane
3. Crested Porcupine
4. Southern White Rhino
5. Siamang

Tbh, Pelican was a close call. (Dalmatian Pelican or Australian Pelican)

There were 2 South American animals in the aquatic pack, similarly, there could easily be more arctic, Australian and South American animals in future packs.

I really hope so! My point is at four animals per dlc the long list of animals I would like to see in the game will never release at this point

These are my personal thoughts:
  1. Southern White Rhinoceros: Largest/Heaviest of the 5 living Rhinoceroses, housed in 174 zoos worldwide housing 671 individuals.
  2. Tasmanian Devil: Largest living, carnivorous marsupial, a good teaser for an Australian Pack, housed in almost every zoo in Australia.
  3. Meerkat: One of the most popular animals at any zoo around the world, with zoos worldwide housing a whopping 3,400 plus individuals.
  4. Scimitar-Horned Oryx: Extinct in the wild, receiving reintroduction programs in Chad, with it's estimated that 9,000 oryx are kept in zoos, safari parks, ranches and public holdings around the world.
  5. Sri Lankan Leopard: A representative of the most diverse species of big cat, one that is housed in few zoos but nonetheless a beautiful animal that should have been in the game to boost cat variety.
