Horizons If you dare change my destination AFTER I have accepted a mission you are breaching your contract...

i love the fetch and carry missions that update with a potential bonus if i can deliver said items within the next 0 minutes

Surely that bug has been fixed with 2.2 after month' of player complaints about it, right ?
Right ?
I'm honestly asking, it's still a thing ?

not seen that bug myself since 2.2

had a few over the weekend, all were achievable, infact they were a bit silly really, not that i am complaining, but tended to be when i was only a few LS away from the base and giving me 15 mins to do it etc.

one of them updated as i was in glide i think going towards the base!.

as i said tho, not that i am complaining, much better than before and its free money even if a laughable amount

You realise your selling those passengers into slavery.

I've gotten this mission also, usually it comes from the Anarchy faction present, you will loose rep with the original mission giving faction and relevant superpower.

Negative it's a redirection only, I have seen the shady deal one and not done it they are being offered at about 3 mil in my current system, I'm being offered upto 1.2 mil jus to delivery them back to the same pickup point.

Dont stack missions. Its that easy. The game gets a lot more spice, when you play missions like missions and not cash generators that you need to do stuff for. I like to prepare for missions, plan the course accordingly, taking safe passage and other aspects into account, sometimes changing ship loadout etc. The payout is lower and progress is much slower, but the game experience increases tenfold. But that is totally up to you.

However i totally agree, that there should be options to negotiate, both in the mission board and for mission critical updates. Just some basic yes / no / make better offer / negotiate time frame. This would add even more freedom and cuts you loose from being a mission generator marionette.
A swing and a miss; completely ignoring the entire point of this thread in one single slip of the keyboard.

I personnely like how passengers request you pick up commodities for there friends ! 3 tons of battle weapons please ? Errrrr No !!

My VIP passenger last night asked for 3 units of coffee. I was being chased by assassins at the time pertaining to two other groups of passengers, so I told her to stuff herself... er, I politely declined.

When I dropped her off, my rewards were cut in half. Because I didn't pick up her damn coffee while being shot at by assassins.

Next time I want to fire the blasted VIP passenger's escape pod at the assassins- they can get them their damn coffee ;)

She wanted 3 tonnes of coffee??

Well, yeah: the 'units' of cargo are tons, so yes. I think the comment in her message was along the lines of 'may as well make some profit on this trip', so I'm reasonably sure the intent was to sell the coffee, not drink it all after her next meal ;)

Again, my biggest issue with this is that I don't carry cargo racks, so it is impossible - if i have to collect commodities en-route, it should say so before taking the mission.

That said, hybrid missions - transport Rebel and his 40 (illegal) battle weapons to warzone would be a cool mission.

Even at ONE mission at a time, I choose that mission because I want to go and mine that item for more credits, but I typically choose it because I know the route and the Rings to go and mine. When I now have to change on the fly where I go and as soon as I jump into the new system there is a good chance that I will be interdicted, I gotta deal with that mess now. I would rather say keep your bonus, I will stay here and go as planned. But I do not have that option.

EVEN Jason Statham had this policy in the movie the Transporter... He would "adjust" his car for each job and the rules specifically said NO changes in anything once agreed upon. I have the same policy now. Managers need to respect pilots and their ships or they should not be managers at the stations or they should not be offering those missions. Shame on them for doing that.

Of course, if they want to offer the change as a BONUS, then we are up for negotiations, but we DID agree on destination x with cargo y and unless I agree to change, I should not be forced to deviate.
