If you don't have Horizons are you in a different game ?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered. I'm just wondering if everyone has to have upgraded to play together?

no.

i was not running horizons for the buckyball race live event last weekend (for performance reasons), and have been racing live with commanders running horizons.

actually i have problems getting anything done because flying above surfce, landing on different planets, and driving around is simply too beautifull. and i love attacking surface stations. but that's just me.

There are people that play on 2 computers, one with the ability to run horizons and one without. I'm not sure how they manage. I think ED:H may also require the base E:D to run. I've uninstalled the 32 bit version. Got back a couple of GB on the HD.
