If you're being tired of people FORCED to play Elite Dangerous...

...posting threads with all this whining, raging at Developers, and obviously confirmation of lacking proper piloting skills, please chill..., step back and browse the XBox forums instead!!

It's such a joy to see how those guys perceive (what Elite Dangerous recently became) the art and beauty of Horizons 2.1! :D

I'm browsing the forums at work, during some launch, cigarettes break etc. And digging through those complains there and there isnt way of fun at all.

We're talking a computer game here guys!! A pretty damn good one and the most technologicaly advanced there is on the entire gaming indistry market!! Have no idea how this can be even remotely connected to the frustrations I'm seeing in some people here...

Does something/someone hurting you?? Having stomach problems, your girlfriend dumped you (because of playing Elite too much?:p), you're broke?? What is it?

...or wait! I really don't want to know. Elite Dangerous is a dream of mine, the love I enjoy since 1,5 year now (have you noticed any positive feelings here?, or you're being used to mixing "love" with "rage" in your real life..?!).

Anyways, one of a great simple examples of how to recently seek people here, sharing similar joyfull attitude as you do:

Cheers Commanders and wishing you a great, sunny afternoon! :D

...and out there? Fly dangerously!!! ;)

It's called having different opinions, and the skill to accept that is called tolerance.
What you do is sowing spite, and that is what you will harvest.

So having an opinion is just right if the opinion is negative? That's a great way to be tolerant!

No.

The OP is obviously happy with ED in general - that's his opinion - and it's OK to think that way.

Others don't necessarily share his happyness - that's their opinion - and that's OK.

It's neither positive or negative - it's just an opinion.

So he is not "sowing spite"...? Yes, that's what I tried to say.

Most of the baiting, trolling and long angry threads would be a lot shorter, and a lot more pleasant to read if people posted with this attitude in mind! Very nice comment. :)

EDIT: Just to be clear, I feel this goes for all sides of the argument. Everyone has their own opinions, and it's fine whether they are positive or negative. Problems come with the crowd that attack someone for their opinion, or tell them some variation of "go away".

Just checked the XBox forum section, and yes, there was a rant. It said so in the title.

Then I read the rant, and there were no prophecies of doom, no self entitlement demanding certain features or he and his friends would stop playing, it was useless!

Come on XBoxers! You can do better than that! :)

+1 OP
Glad that someone can express that better than me (not native).
I always wonder why those people are still here and still playing the game. And, its not about those with different opinions or good and constructive suggestions. Its about those who are just deeply negative about a game (and this community) and are still here and are not just leaving.

Its like someone living in a living community, hating everything and everybody around him, but stays to complain about it. Its crazy.

Are there more games like that? Is this normal or special to E: D? Has anybody experienced something similar in other games (no SC answers please! Its not a game, not yet)?

All games are like that - full of haters & fanboys (extremes from both ends of the scale).

Forums could do with ejecting both kinds of poster ... very toxic for the community.

Well...

Does something/someone hurting you?? Having stomach problems, your girlfriend dumped you (because of playing Elite too much?:p), you're broke?? What is it?

Or maybe I just don't personally enjoy spending hours and hours of game play harvesting resources I can't store for a mod I can't use - because ultimately that feels like a chore and not a game.

Before we start the debate on that, or on "you don't have to play like that!" rubbish, let's not. Discuss that elsewhere.

Everyone feels different about the game. Calling out people-and a very large proportion of the players- that have often spent large quantities of money on the game (I imagine as a rule more than Xbox players would pay, especially for those that backed the game as a kickstarter) in this way is pretty pointless.

I agree with you OP, however FD also need to realize that its not all perfect. I'm a very forgiving type, I just adapt and overcome the issues. :)

Missions need to be working all of them, some still direct you to no mans land (no station or outpost)
Issue with storage of materials, the limit is too small and a solution is needed.
Hints to where we can find the materials, hits need to be more direct.

I need this to build this.

you can find this, here and this try the XYZ system as they are known to have it.
And make a trading Hub where people can sell and buy the materials they need, just make one trading Hub in a core system in the bubble. Everyone need to go there and can the trade the materials.

Some people like to find it, some don't, lots of commanders around the Hub will give more life and its a win win situation.
