The question of all questions is not water Yes or No.

It is more like did They change their mind? It seemed like water not in Alpha 2, because it is in an early stage.
But now they showed it to the press and can we assume they said "Well Ok. They won't keep quiet and do we really want them to shout at us for two further months, because we did not include water?"

Bear in mind that this is a development build, so there'll be (experimental) stuff in there that'll get removed for the Alpha 2 release (e.g. all the 'debug' buttons). That being said, I fully expect that water will be in but hidden behind a cheat code.

Maybe to show that this is just a placeholder, water can be hidden behind a "cheatcode" (just like coasters in the current alpha) or something like that.

You are both right.

Over the last week they were not sure if there was any water in. As Brett said. Water not confirmed.
To hide it "underconstruction" is something i would assume too.
So we, as community, can always say "Remember. That is why it is hidden under that phrase."
And people are always remembered by typing in.

But if they would not include it in any way. They would not have shown it in the videos i guess.

Water. So often used, so barely appreciated and yet a lot of people, including me, can be so passionate about it. :D

EDIT: I think Frontier had a good experience by including a basic version of coasters in Alpha 1.
