{redacted my original question before posting before you all label me nuts}
Location about 20k LY from the bubble...
The TLDR is I'm picking up a sound from a moon while approaching for mapping but before I engage the DSS. It is like a distant power plant humming off in the distance. Nothing on Contacts, nothing on Navigation panel. Moon is landable but unremarkable (so far). System does have geology but no biological signals, and no concentrated or transient signal sources. It sure has me wondering (yet once again) if it is space madness, or is this something other commanders have come across before?
Again, not looking for drama here, but for the life of me the sound only appears at this moon. Is there any game mechanic I'm missing that I should be looking at? The moon is a simple rocky world.
