I'm back! What do I need to know? =)

Hi!

I haven't played Elite since Wings first came out (about 2 years ago I think).
But now I got myself some head and eye tracking and want to pick it up again =)

If you could give me a short update on the important changes since than I would be really grateful!
I will probably figure most of it out myself but maybe there is something that isn't so fun to find out yourself? For example: Is it still safe to go out exploring or will Thargoids attack you outside the bubble?

I'd say, if you have Horizons, get up to speed on planetary landings and Engineers. If you don't have Horizons, get it.

As far as Thargoids go - until now, you have to go looking for them, i.e. drop into a non-human signal source. Hyperdictions (Thargoids interdicting you) are extremely rare.

Thanks! Did they change any mechanics for planetary landings or is it just visual changes?

woohoo! I'm a little worried the cake will be gone and the coffee cold when I get there though..
