I'm bored...

I've sat down numerous times over the last couple of weeks (since 2.4.02), pulled up the mission/pass screens, looked at the payouts, and basically thought "Whats the point?"... Basically just took my Oculus off and found something else to do.

I went from averaging probably 20 hrs a week (since last December) to nothing.... (Sometimes LOTS more)

No, I'm not burned out. I used to like to make credits to buy stuff and try new ships/weapons/modules/etc... I'ld still be playing if it paid well. Nerfing the pass missions was apparently the last straw for me...

So, I'm moving on. Back to Planetside2 for a while. I'll check back in after the next patch or two and see if anything has changed for the better.

Just sayin'

(Flame on!)

Heh, no, what you described is EXACTLY you being burned out.

Don't sweat it. Take a break. There are thousands of games. Maybe after a week, month or even a year, you'll be back, full of energy and ideas, again.
For me it's usually a week. :)

Because sitting in your mission hub and doing missions can get boring.

Go mats hunting, unlock an Engineer, do some exploration, medium range passenger missions, do a CG, visit an Inra site, unlock another power play module, visit some mega-ships and listen to the logs, do the Guardian Stones campaign, do the Palin Thargoid fragment mission, whatever...

I would probably get bored with this game after 50hours if I would only do the standard local missions at my mission hub.

Yea the passenger nerf stopped me to for a week. I bought a cutter and engineered it for the farthest possible jump range. No shields and all light modules. Lots of Photo Light Alloys. I'm trying the Trade Computer Extension add on and going back to running Imperial Slaves and wherever the TCE might take me. I was having fun with some PvP and then the Thargoids ( till it became next to impossible to beat one 1on1 and PvP was less). Either way good luck CMDR ! o7

I think I just burnt out too.

Finally unlocked the Corvette, which takes ages if you don't spam data delivery missions, and try to do it "as intended".
But I did give up eventually, and finished only the last 30~% of my rank at Sothis.

Now I have an awesome Corvette, which is about 60~% modified.

But nothing to use it on. Lol
The Thargoids are too far away to keep messing with. I haven't touched then since 2.4.01.
And the NPC challenge still doesn't scale to pose any challenge to a modified anything, let alone a Corvette.

However, I kinda feel like I've burnt out of gaming on general, temporarily. Usually I'd go play something else, but today, I played ED for a few hours, then gave up (shortly before the server snafu. Lol), but instead of playing something else, I just watched movies.

Doesn't help that my PC keeps crapping itself and crashing recently. :p
And my internet is too slow to download new games in a reasonable time.
(ARMA III = 27 hours to download!)

OP could be talking about: When 2.4 came out there was a glitch and you could make a lot on passenger missions ( I know I did ) until a patch came out. I'm talking about Ziegel Dock in Wu Guinagi. I've been down there a bunch of time in the last few months and the ability to load up on passenger missions isn't possible. The 8 mill 3 hop delivery isn't there and hasn't been along with other passenger missions. I haven't been able to fly my Beluga for a few months. Is it the station ? Under War ? I really don't care. I spent a lot of time there to buddy up to the factions and at this point am not willing to find another system that gives the same. Seems nerfed to me.

While everyone moans about the passenger nerf, I've been casually one-jumping average 30 mill a trip for the past week... That's what happens when someone pays a little bit of attention to the game instead of waiting for some youtube step by step tutorial to herd them to the moneys...

And I'm not even trying hard, just settled on the first place I found above average.

I can do anything for "30 mill a pop". That's not the point. Try to read between the lines.

I would even bet 90% of the people moaning about the nerf (any of them) haven't even tried and just jumped on the bandwagon. It's quite frustrating, actually. Here I am doing things in game everyone on the forums screams are impossible...

Cool man. Have fun with Planetside... You can play other games, just don't repeat the dead memes from the legion of salty trolls who are raging about how Elite is a better game than Star Citizen.

Happens all the time for me. Then I just move to play something else.
In half a year I come back to see what FD managed to add. Sometimes it manages to keep me for a while.

Well, if you haven't done it already, this could be interesting if you're goal is getting credits http://edtools.ddns.net/expl.php?s=Alioth&d=400&n=700

Just set it to your current system and start exploring, it's all locations of water/earthlike planets and metal rich planets in a path on the outside part of the bubble, supposedly gives milions of credits if you do a bunch of them.
I'm just doing full scans of every system on the route for even more moolahs slowly, setting that as my goal until either I finish the list, or the Chieftain is released :D

I understand.
I've maxxed out everything, been places, triple elite etc.

Right now I'm building up a nest egg to buy planetary bases for when they never come out.

Exactly. Although I don't really find it frustrating, just hilarious.
