You make a good point, it's a common response to complain threads & I'm sure this one will be no exception :)

It makes finding helpful info harder, undermining the benefit of having the forum, but the helpful info is still there if you are prepared to put a bit of effort in.

I'm sorry you feel that way : I know many nice persons on the forum and I had countless interesting conversations here.
I hope you'll change your mind and come back later.

There's criticism, and then there's whining.

We're all bored of [the endless] whining, so we troll the poster to cheer us up.
Constructive criticism, or problems we respond better too and will quickly be piling up to offer advice or feedback.

It's all how you word it.

Forums are for discussion - expecting everybody agreeing there is a bit silly. If you don't people agreeing with you, don't hate, just move on.

Also feedback isn't really popularity contest. FD will read well written feedback anyway.

There's also the issue of the forums being full of whining, different opinions, complaints and criticisms. These are all different things and sometimes constructive criticism can get lost in the noise. Personally I find the forums far too negative over the last year and I only check in occasionally, as opposed to living here like I used to.

Some of us love this game a lot,and we got very angry when we read a bad things about it,you know,we are not hostile. Now, you can offend my wife, but dont do it to ED for god sake.

Sorry. But it's full of jerks. Any sensible gripe is attacked every time by the 'git gud' or 'It's your fault for not enjoying the grind' brigades wanting to shut down any discussion about the games weaknesses. This game won't reach it's potential if large portions of the community are going to be hostile to anyone who raises a criticism or complaint. You can respond having a go at me (no doubt a few will without realising they're illustrating my point for me) but I won't read it. I'm sick of the hostility in this community. It's ruining the experience for me - I figured I will enjoy the game more if I just don't engage with the forum. Bye.

You're looking at the wrong parts of the community if that's ALL you saw. The ignore feature is a thing, you know, and far more effective a solution than producing a rant thread....

This is excellent advice that many forum users could/should take to heart and apply.

For those that don't know about the feature, it can be found by clicking on the user name of whoever you wish to ignore, and then selecting 'View profile'.
Then select the second option from the list directly under the user name in the profile 'Add to Ignore List'.
Job done. You will have just improved your forum experience.

Trolling is supposed to be against the forum rules. It appears this rule is applied selectively.

In any event this forum isn't a particularly pleasant place.

Use the ignore list, don't read anything in Dang Dis and the forum is a much nicer place :)

Agreed. But some people just lurve their melodrama and their 'notice me' ragequit threads. First world problems.
