General / Off-Topic I’m getting older, bifocal time.

I wasn’t sure where to put this but since I was 13 in 1987 I wore glasses for distance, with the left eye worse than the left, very weak rx, like -2.75 left and -1.00 right. Now I got a new eye exam at a newer vision store right near my house and my rx changed, my left eye is now -1.75 and right +.25 with an add power in both eyes. Approximately +1.00 of power in the left and +4.25 in the right for near. I noticed my near vision in my right eye deteriorating but far vision is not bad, whereas my left eye has some blur for distance and near is only slightly blurry. So I decided to get bifocals. I also got grayish plastic frames this time, I usually got ones with metal rims and nosepads. I get them in several days. I wanted ones without nosepads this time. I’m 44, so I guess it’s time for near vision correction. I can hardly read my iphone now without correction in the right eye but can a little in the left.

I have trifocal glasses for a number of years now...just awesome!
