Took a break from Asp trading last night and finally decided to grab a Viper and spec it out for hunting and combat. Dear God what a beast, mostly B specced at the moment until I can save up for some A gear but even now I managed to go toe to toe with a Python and nearly beat him down (jumped out before the kill )


And those engines... seksy


Are future ships introduced by FD into the game going to rival this wonderful ship I wonder, the Krait maybe ?

The Krait isn't one of the 30 planned ships. The Vulture might give the Viper a run for its money, though.

I jumped back in a Viper recently after being in a Python/Anaconda for a long time.

Lack of power aside she is awesome fun and sounds incredibly menacing.

Gotta say I am a bit of a fan of the Viper too, and the good thing vs the Asp .. you don't have to worry so much if you loose her since she is so cheap to replace

Agreed, and then there's the basic running costs as well. Mind you, hauling cargo in the Asp through the riskier areas of space does tend to make you feel a bit better about the risk.

So far I like the cobra's engines which just growl and to a lesser extent the asp.

I went back to the viper after a cobra and T6 an have never looked back. I've pretty much A specked everything and it's brilliant fun. The sound effect of the engine popping is brilliant. My favourite ship in the game by a mile so far, very cheap to buy and capable of wreaking havoc on most opponents.

Lol I'm not in a great mood today and that made me laugh because I know it's true

I like the sound of the Imperial Clipper though, she hums just like she should in that perfect way, handle her right and she'll take good care of you

I love the Viper too got lots of hardpoints perfect for killing them damn NPC's

The Viper is a little squishy for my taste but great fun to fly. My biggest gripe is that the thrusters are on the outside and are pretty easy to take out. A friend of mine discovered this last night after losing both his canopy and his thrusters and self-destructing cost him over 200k in bounties and insurance. He could easily afford the loss but there was some grumbling as he went looking for an AFM after I explained that having one would have saved him.

I love my Viper, it's an absolute beast when you know how to fly it I can't wait to try the Vulture, i really hope it comes with V1.2

I tried my Asp in a nav beacon but with only C rated thrusters it felt like flying a skip compared to my Viper. The extra weapons were fun though
