I'm in shock

Ok. I was amazed to discover lots of copies of "Sinclair User" with lots of detail about the original Elite which I hope to post after taking advice about copyright. From about 84-86.

However, tonight at my mum's house where I grew up, I have just come across the holy grail. I realise many of you may have this, but I was shocked to find my pristine original copy of the gold edition of Elite, with what seems to be all of the original contents. I have:

Box
Instructions
Dark wheel fiction
Cassette
Lenslock
Original Spectrum keyboard overlay
Poster
Some other stuff

Just posting because I am in shock and in heaven. Will post some pictures if copyright advice allows. That is all. Sorry for the melodrama.

I don't have that but I do have an original copy of Elite for Commodore 64 with Dark Wheel. Kudos on finding that. That's a real gem.

Sadly

Nice find man :)
I was a poor working class child, so my Elite consisted of BBC micro in after school computer club or was it an acorn so long ago ? Anyway there we learned to make a moving star field you could move through using random seeds like procedural generation...almost :) So Elite was my first foray into programming at the tender age of about 14 :) My actual copy I seem to recall was on a cassette from tape to tape on a 48k spectrum sorry DB

Lol, me too, my first programming experience was hacking the saved game files to give myself a docking computer. Think I was about eight at the time ;)
