I'm in the wrong business...

I just noticed since the new mission boards update that has brought rare engineer materials to a more bountiful level than ever before, new high value delivery missions have appeared. They require trading ships, naturally, as the deliveries are of 120t of stuff or more, but one was for 8mil credits, to a planetary port 120ls from the main star, 11ly away...I was like 'Deal! Gimme da stuffs!!'

I did it, naturally, and then I emptied the credits into a small room I have in the back of the ship and rolled around in them, laughing maniacally and thinking... 'Damn, I wish I got this kind of money for assassinations'.

P.S. My Python, Goldmember (hull is made of solid gold, honestly, it's not just a gold paint job) is back and badder than ever before, so I'm gonna be getting rich quick soon. MoM can do her worst, I'm ready! ;)

Just picked up a second Python myself after noticing some high paying missing at an Outpost.

Can't beat the Python for medium size cargo hauling :-D

"Neeeeeeerf!";

Just kidding.

My new commander has recently purchased a Python, tonnage and opens up outposts, just off to search for those 8 million payouts.

120t hauling missions?
Big hauling is finally in the ED universe?
That is excellent news. I have been asking for that for ages.

Yup, they are everywhere. :)

Huh, since when? Since 2.4 I've been unable to spot any worthwhile mat, and missions where my primary source of them...

Yep, since silent patch 48 hours ago, you will have NO trouble finding Biotech Conductors, Exquisite Focus Crystals, Modified Embedded firmware and Cracked Industrial Firmware all across the bubble now, seemingly regardless of mission level (although I am high level, so that's hard for me to confirm, but I definitely saw some mid level missions offering rare mats).

I was getting them from Daedalus in Sol, where I am allied with everyone. I think my trade rank is Entrepreneur, or the one after that.

Noticed the mission "fix" too. :D

I also get assassination missions with 1-3 Mil rewards too, from an allied faction.

Man, that was my biggest complaint! Cool beans!

The best reliable income seems to be still in passengers and most of the destinations are at stations that have large pads, so it's easy to do a lot of money in pretty much everything that has a lot of big optionals - Type 7, Orca, Anaconda etc. Just go around systems that have a system with a distant station close by and collect the missions to it/board flip. Oh, and it seems there are more well paying missions now that require first class cabins (celebrities and heads of state). Nice.

I've been getting a lot of high value stuff, particularly data. I need more storage space!

On one hand - of course more storage space would be nice.

On the other hand - all you need is a goal.

There will always be a limit, we will always want more.

All we need do is decide what our priorities are, and discard the rest.

Prioritise!

[Until it gets nerfed next week, that is...]

Guys, I've a confession to make, I mis-remembered events from last night, it wasn't a 8m mission I did, it can't have been, it must have been a smaller one, but I'd SEEN a 8m and a 9m mission, which I now realise are all to hutton orbital (I'm in game now). Still, 3m for a short hop to Wolf 359 is still good (that's what I'm seeing) and stacking 3 or 4 hutton orbital deliveries in a T9 would prove an EXTREMELY lucrative (how long does it take, 45 mins?) venture. Still not seeing the medium range deliveries (30ly-120ly for example), but overall this mission board tweak has been great, I'm seeing more high level missions than ever as well.

If you're going to take a t-9 to Hutton, I think you might be in for a small disappointment...

Okay, yeah... being someone who hauls (albeit smaller loads) from time to time this has inspired me to look at Pythons again.

I've actually been considering a T9 for doing some hauling, too... tough decision to make here.

Such missions do exist, without tortuous supercruises - I saw one last night. 8mcr, about 15LY, minimal cruise. 120t of palladium.
