I'm liking the little improvements, those QOL features

They may, of course, have taken a lot of programming or debugging but .....

The SRV scanner now works again .... what a relief that feels when driving around;

Arsenic is spawning frequently on Arsenic bearing planets again (such as at Deciat for Felicity Farseer)

The Orca increase in jump distance with the decrease in mass is fantastic !

The Dolphin feels like a little runabout, as in Star Trek's shuttle .... great ship and great sounds !

I loved docking for the first time at the Mega Ship at Yum Kamkabi ....

Oh .... and the Glide transition at a planet is much smoother now .... no long wait !!!!!!! :)

All in all some really nice features FD [up]

Have you found Quality of Life Features that have improved?

So, I almost hesitate to say "Galaxy Map", because honestly the bug in that (still not fixed despite it being there throughout beta) got me pretty upset earlier today. I was excited for 2.3, and it just utterly deflated me to see that it's going to be a nightmare selecting any target that isn't really close by.

But I just noticed, god-damn does it open quickly for me now. Before it was pretty painful, but now it's a beauty. And it also makes me a little less angry about the bug. What really frustrated me was I couldn't find anything that 2.3 improved about the Galaxy Map, and therefore it's particularly bad to go and introduce such a serious bug in it. But I can believe, maybe, that they've tried to make it more efficient by limiting the data loaded when you first open it, but in doing so (temporarily) screwed up the ability to target a far-off bookmark.

Oh, oh, oh. Sorry. Stream of consciousness. The Galaxy Map opens quickly now, right? And I just read a post explaining how you actually can plot a route purely with the keyboard, using the arrow keys to navigate to "Plot Route" and then hitting space. And I have Voice Attack.

And I spent the 8 hours waiting for the beta download grabbing all the system data from eddb.io and loading it into my own database. Which I can create a report from. Which I could reformat into a Voice Attack import. Meaning... oh god...

"Set a course to 87 Mu Ceti."
<assistant recognises that specific command for that specific system, opens Galaxy Map, types it in, does the key presses to plot the route and close the Galaxy Map>
"Course set," it replies.

I am so doing this.

I still can't get over how much sharper the game looks in 2.3. It's as if I made a jump from 480p to 1080p.

Simply beautiful.
