I'm not able to join the empire, Why?

Hello commanders!

As the title says, i am not able to join the empire.

My reputation is allied for some time now but i did not receive the mission to join.

I know i have to be on empire space(and i am) but is there specific systems that give the mission?

You cannot join a major faction per se. You can gain rank in it, but you will always stay an independent pilot. You can pledge to a power though, and some of the powers are part of the empire.

Erm, you mean rank missions to get to Outsider/Serf etc as shown here? http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Empire
Or allying with a powerplay sub-faction like Aisling Duval etc.

If its the first it's any Empire system, keep allying with different subfactions and they will come. They are reported to be bugged like mad at the moment, not sure on latest status.

If its powerplay go to right hand panel and select the bottom galactic powers button then the middle subfactions tab.

You have to do missions for Imperial subfactions before naval progression missions start popping up, even if you're already allied to the major faction. Allied rep might actually help them pop up faster, but don't quote me on that. Find an Imperial system and knock out some missions.

So i have to increase my reputation with multiple sub factions, got it.

However, it seems that after joining the power play, i became "allied" with all the sub factions from the empire.

Do i still have to complete missions for them?

They show up as Allied 'cuz they're Imperial. You still have to gain reputation with them individually though. Progress bar on the bulletin board screen will show your standing with them when you complete a mission.

Can you get the mission for Empire Career Progression, even if you already have a rank with the Federation? (I'm allied with both, but want to unlock the Clipper)
