I'm out near the Jellyfish Nebula

There are oceans of ringed gas giants out here. What an extraordinary place.

Very nice!
Ringed water worlds or earth likes are my personal favorite.. I'm getting the itch to jump back out into the black

Some nice shots there, enjoy your time away.
Are you having any issues with route plots resetting after each jump? Can't wait to get back out myself, but with the plotting issue I may just stick closer to home.

You are making me wish I had not turned around to head back for a refit and a run into the core. I basically flipped a coin, head out to the edge or head back to the bubble and then into the middle.

If you don't mind me asking, where are are you heading post Jellyfish?

Oooo I fancied heading out that way once I got my :):):):) in gear and go exploring, anyone done it in a adder? Just looks cheap to set up as a explorer for a quick trip out and back

I've had multiple crashes to menu over the last few days, but my route hasn't disappeared once. It's a weird issue which appears to affect random people.

I went the other way in an Adder. I got nearly as far as NGC 6357 but I went mad and had to come back. A terrible, terrible explorer. Overheats, pathetic range (although a 25LY jump isn't bad) and you can't see out of it. The Hauler is much better

I'm going to Monkey Head, then Crab, then Bubble nebula, then I'll come back to sell and repair (I'm at 98%) and then I'm going to Beagle Point on on other side of the galaxy via Sagittarius A* (again) and the Great Annihilator.

Well I have a hauler I can use, it's sat gathering dust at the mo as I bought it to try a bit of mining and it was a bit pap. So I will give it a blast, does the adder have any use in the game?

Interesting trip plan. I'm heading towards Sagittarius A* very slowly. I will see how I feel when I get there. The idea of going to the far side is intriguing...

Noob question- I could not see Beagle on the G map. Whats the easiest way yo find it?

Its not actually called Beagle Point.. its Called "CEECKIA ZQ-L C24-0" (straight outta my head.... :p)

The community is calling it Beagle Point. You cannot go further anymore since the jumps are to big for any ships ingame..

That might change someday though with the abilty to find minerals, and craft temporairy boosts in Horizons.

On December 16th 3300, last year, a long ranged Asp Explorer, the DSS Beagle, left the Pallaeni star system to begin the first recorded galactic crossing.

Codenamed 'Distant Suns' the expedition was recorded in a 12-series video log. The mission was to travel to the far side of the galaxy via the galactic core, mapping and documenting all major discoveries made along the way.

Some 5 weeks later, on January 18th 3301, DSS Beagle reached a star system on the edge of the far galactic rim, 65,279 LYs from Sol. The system (CEECKIA ZQ-L C24-0) subsequently became known as 'Beagle Point'. It marked the end of the line of the Distant Suns expedition.

One year later, in January 3302, the DSS Beagle is to be recommissioned and given a new mission.

Codenamed 'Distant Worlds', this new expedition will task all its participants to travel a route that will roughly follow the original path taken by the Beagle last year, this time with the added task of surveying and exploring as many worlds as possible at key locations along the way.

I did the Crab Nebula back in GPP in my 32ly DBE and I recall struggling to get to the Crab Pulsar. Got there eventually but had to have a few stabs at plotting and had to run the tank quite low to decrease mass if memory serves. Should be easier in a Asp though. Great place to visit :D

I didn't look it up on Youtube or anything because I wanted to find out for myself, but the Crab Pulsar is just a neutron star. Disappointing
