I'm still hauling! Are you?

Yes. I’m still working on building out a system. I’m almost done with the underlying infrastructure like security and standard of living. Then I’ll begin putting down the metal production facilities. After that, I’ll be adding the large orbital ports to access those metals without the need for planetary landings.

Sadly, two of my orbital slots are bugged and unbuildable. The construction sites move faster than my ship can even boost. But I have plenty more slots to work with though.

i am having a break from it and have finally popped my cherry on the ground content which came with Ody.

i now have grade 5 suits and a handful of grade 5 weapons. now looking to unlock the engineers to get me to night vision. colonisation can wait for a while, my system isnt going anywhere.

Haven't given up on Colonization, still capturing systems and now I'm building a T3 solo. Joy? No! But it will feel good when I've completed it.
Here's a song dedicated to all those still hauling and keeping those trade lanes busy.

The video should be 1080p or 4K resolution.

Yep, still hauling. I wasn't going to do my own colony, but after helping 4 others do theirs, I decided to do one of my own. I soloed one system, but came across a bug that wouldn't let me land on the colony ship for an Orbis. Turned in a ticket on that and started an Orbis on another system. So far, doing it on my own.

Lots of cigar breaks and other smoke/gummies keep me relatively sane-ish.

Damn that's a lot of materials to do on your own, I know cause I'm doing the same thing. I have 1 week and 5 days left and I'm not sure I can finish in time

I’ve got a small system just outside PP space which I’m building up. One Coriolis and four Outposts done with two of those hopefully coming online today. Various ground bases done and a decent economy, I went Industrial as it fitted in well with the local systems, thankfully no issues so far.

I’m currently still hauling to pad out the system stats and plan to build a Planetary Port ( probably solo, unfortunately) as my final structure, but am also spending time rearranging the factions and pushing for exploited status within PP.

Lots still to do here before I move on to my Agri system one jump away, that’s currently set up just enough to give me the products I need for now.

I’ve been lucky so far with bugs and economy weirdness but assume that’s down to building single economy systems.

Yeah, it's a mountain of stuff to move, but I'm retired. 4 days and I'm a bit over 55% done. One of my squad mates just offered to help, so it should go pretty fast after this.

I built three other peoples systems. I don't even call it hauling if it's loading and unloading a carrier. You're just packing and unpacking someone else's moving van and sitting in the back of it, with no windows to look out of.

Hauling implies there's some sort of adventure involved. This is moving individual loads basically what is Elite's equivalent of the small parking lot back and forth. I'm sorry but the amazon delivery driver unloading your same day mattress in a box delivery doesn't refer to moving said mattress from the curb to your door as hauling.

I take it you don’t work in haulage then! Adventure is the last thing you want. 😆

And some of us are actually hauling, not just loading carriers. Personally - and yes, my experience is limited - I’ve found doing it without a carrier is as quick and a lot less frustrating. YMMV.
