im unable to sell or buy items in stations.

just like the total says, i was mining and got silver (100%) so i went to a station to sell it and yea thats when i found out im not able to. though maybe its my nooby self idk, has anyone else had this problem:S

Additionally, does the station buy silver?

Individual stations do not trade in all commodities; if you'd like to sell silver, try a 'High-Tech' economy.

They need it for their ipods.

You need to install a refinery in your ship. The size will depend in your shipsize. Each refinery has a bin, the more bins you can afford the more you can refine. You can buy the refineries at an outfitters.

Don't matter, station will buy all commodities, just doesn't pay much for goods it don't need.

Go to your right hand UI screen and select 'Cargo', refinery should show in the left hand side, select the silver and it should refine it

Alas, 'tis not the case. If you're in an agricultural system you may find that the station has no market for metal, either to buy or sell.

Often a healthy demand for biowaste, though, those lucky vegetables.
