Imagining Ibis

Ibis are very iconic birds that are quite common in zoos and I think a lot of us would like to see them in Planet Zoo. However, which species? In truth I can think of many species I'd want to see in PZ but I think there is three clear front runners.

Scarlet Ibis:

Northern Bald Ibis:

African Sacred Ibis:

Which would you want to see the most?

The Australian white ibis all the way. They fill the same neiche in aus as raccoons do in America. Scarlet ibis would also be pretty nice for more Amazon animals though.

I would go with the scarlet ibis, but the Madagascar Ibis is also pretty cool.

I have seen these 2 combined so many times in zoos. Frankly I think we need at least one colourful SA bird, but if we could somehow get both of these, I would be so happy. Sadly we probably wont get neither of them, let alone both.

The Madagascar crested ibis is definitely up there for me. Really quite a pretty bird, not too uncommon in captivity (21 zoos in Europe alone) and the largest forest bird in Madagascar. In Zurich Zoo they are kept in a huge tropical hall alongside red ruffed lemurs and Aldabra giant tortoises among other species. Hoping I'll see them at London Zoo when I visit in September.

Definitely an underdog pick! It'd be nice to have as a bird in a Madagascar section.
