Immaculate conception?!

I have two pangolin habitats. I intended to have a breeding pair in each but somehow I got confused and so I hate the two males in one habitat and the two females in the other. Oops. After about a year or two I finally noticed my mistake and went to fix it, but at the same time I noticed one of the females wasn't eating. So, I sent that female to quarantine, move the other female to the other habitat and one of the males to this one. So now I had a breeding pair in Habitat A and just a male in Habitat B which was waiting on the female in Quarantine to come back.

Little while later the quaruntine was done, and I Sent the female back to Habitat B and as soon as she was unboxed, she became pregnant.

So either there was some funny business over in quaruntine, or well yeah.

I had a snake in an exhibit that would give birth to pregnant females... Unless they had some funny business with their dad at the ripe age of 0.0

There are many reptiles species that partake in parthenogenesis-- The females are able to reproduce asexually.
However I'd be pretty surprised if that's actually what's going on in-game and not just another funky bug.
