Immersion killer: crazy, physics-defying AI ships

Hi all

I've been enjoying ED since beta 2 so want to start this thread with a quick nod to the Frontier team and all the good stuff in the game. I'm also confident things will continue to improve. That said...

Can Frontier please do something about the NPC ships and their crazy, physics-defying behaviour? They seem to be able to instantaneously transport their ships Star Trek-style across systems. It's not something a player could do nor would it make sense for a player to do it as it seems to happen without motivation. It's a real immersion-killer.

Check out some of the nonsense you see NPCs getting up to inside stations! I watched an NPC in his Sidewinder hovering in some random position inside a station and continuously rolling his ship. it was like he'd fallen asleep in his cockpit and slumped on to his joystick (nasty!)

In my opinion, this silliness and the on-going docking bay problems (both present since early beta) are big problems because they destroy the illusion.

I'm starting to wonder if it's just me. Has no one else noticed the eratic NPC flight paths and crazy behaviour? Maybe I need to capture some video but that's not something I've done before.
