With the newly improved visuals on shield damage and effects in general, it would be great if we had the option to see our own shields taking damage from the cockpit. Rather than the current laser/cannon shell etc just stop on nothing a distance above your ship. As they are no longer blinding solid discs they wouldn't stop you from being able to see. A similar effect for on foot would be wonderful as well.
