Honestly if we never get new mechanics like flying and fully-aquatics, this is the only scenery that feels truly necessary at this point in PZ. A lack of birds, means likely a lack of official aviary pieces. Same could be said for fully-aquatics and additional aquarium/underwater viewing pieces. PZ definitely needs some more pieces that don’t fit any regional theme, but instead speak to general zoo architecture. This would include pieces/fences common in animal holding areas and other “backstage” items. Ironically, the one “theme” PZ lacks is one with a zoological-focus. It’s great to have thematic zoo scenery too (and we definitely have that), but all zoos are more than just themed areas designed for viewer enjoyment/immersion. There’s a lot to be said for pieces/fencing that in real-world zoos aren’t for scenery and looks, but instead serves a necessary, animal-based purpose.Maybe finally general zoo architecture with props that we need from the beginning and ready to use habitats inspired by the famous habitats from the real zoo’s. What do you think?
I’ll be the first to admit, there are scenery themes that would be fun additions, but none truly feel as necessary as general pieces/fencing that are designed solely with animals in mind. For example, Frontier just got around to implementing chainlink pieces (a multi-purposed and widely used tool in zoos) this last year. Chainlink is one of those key things in zoos and it didn’t officially come to PZ till almost two years after initial release. I’m so grateful the Devs finally got around to releasing them, but there’s still so much more that feels needed.
