Newcomer / Intro Impact,Prox and dropping to close

can anyone explain what does it means with: Impact,Prox and dropping to close, thanks

From my (limited) experience of it....

Impact warning means you are on a collision course with something that will force you to emergency drop out of supercruise in order to save your ship (it will hurt).

Prox warning means you are physically very close to something solid - an asteroid, a station, etc.

Dropping too close I've not come across, from googling it it seems like if you disengage supercruise incorrectly near your destination you can warp in uncomfortably close to a station.

ok thanks for your explanation, I am still confuse about this game, can you tell me, after launch to a distanation and then can not find further station to dock, normaly I only see Nav becon, and when I go there, I become lost somewhere, lol

Dropping too close means you haven't averted course after a Prox or Impact warning and now you are dangerously close to hitting the object. You are then reverted back to regular flight, with frame damage to your hull if your speed was still high.

Hi, the flight tutorials should get you acquainted with how to reach your destination. Have you tried those?

It honestly just depends on the system. Some systems are uninhabited apart from flyers. Some systems don't even have planets. If you enter a system that does have stations, it should be listed in menu 1 (lower left hand side).

If you're having trouble finding civilisation, there is lots of handy information in the galaxy map. System info (if it exists, can see if a system has stations to land at), the option to colour code the systems in terms of government (more likely to have a habitable station in one that isn't in anarchy). You can also make highlight common trade routes. Lots of ways to find hints. Systems that are named with very long combinations of sector names and coordinates are very unlikely to have stations in them.

Prox = getting too close to an object
Impact = correct corse or crash/you just hit something.

Adding to this object might be outside your field of view.
Case in point fliying under ring around a planet, get Prox but no impact warning. Until too late when you hit it, drop out of SC with no shields and a lot of hull damage.

Hi, guys , thanks for your respons , finally I can get to a distanation, very happy about it after few days tried. lol, I am going to dock now. thanks guys

Too close: I managed to come out of SC inside a station. I was shouted at and then killed as I was trying to make my way out.
Didn't know if ending up in the station was a bug or a feature...
