Imperial clipper - how much and is it worth it?

Quick question - what is an average price of the Imperial Clipper? Can't find any in the region i`m at the moment ad I want to know how much money will I need.
And - is it good for the explorer/bounty hunter?

I think the ASP is a much better option for explorer/hunter personally, but the Clipper is damn pretty.

Forgoing the gorgeousness of the Imperial Clipper, cause it is one fine and sexy lady. How does the Orca or Python compare?

The Clipper is extremely fast (but still feels like a big heavy ship) I absolutely love flying it. The biggest draw backs are the running costs, slight damage is incredibly expansive, and the jump range fully laden is low. Mine does 15LY with 242T of Cargo.

Yes, the Clipper looks awesome, and its design is my fav in game - thats why I want one. But the short jump range is worrying me. I will try it when I can afford it.

It is heavy, expensive, hard skinned, and very big ship.
It could fly fast, but it can't. Turning rate pretty good, inertia is immense.

This ship viable with turrets/gimballeds only and firepower is similar with ASP. Decent ambush protected cargo ship.

I thought about clipper in pvp, but it too expensive to loose and suffers from lack of maneuvrability.

Crippling 16-ton fuel tank and FSD are the only serious disadvantages. With gimballed C3 beam lasers and multi-cannons small ships last about 2 seconds before going 'boom'. Very nimble as well for such a large ship and fast as ***. Pity about the FSD as well so definitely a short-range pleasure-cruiser that packs a very, very nasty punch.

What's its stock range unladen m8?

I think one thing that many people tends to overlook about Clipper is that it has 2 large hardpoints.

Those 2 large hardpoints alone can be a game changer if used correctly because you can rip down shields pretty quick with them - sometimes quicker than your opponents can shield bank their shields and they may not be expecting it.
