Imperial Clippers - What Weapons Do You Use?

Size 3 gimbaled pulses on top mounts, size 2 gimbaled multi cannons on bottom mounts. Most likely upgrading pulses to one fixed and one gimbaled size 3 beam later as I dislike the idea of going all gimbaled, but mounts are so widely apart that two of those would never hit. Ship seems agile enough to point the nose at enemy quite nicely though. Currently I'm still low on budget to equip the ship, as I just dislike Trading too much to grind money that way.

2x L Gimballed Burst, 1x M Gimballed Pulse, 1x M Dumbfire Missiles; though you have to shoot from the hip a little with the missiles. C'mon FD, gimme a gun in the nose or a dorsal one in the fuselage! :)

Currently back in the Asp as I like to have at least some fixed weapons.

The weapons on the wings arent terrible but not great either.

I wish the underneath ones were more centered and forward. Like a Warthog or Apache or something

1 c3 fixed pulse, 1 c3 gimballed burst, 2 c2 seeker missiles is my preference.

Once you get into the large hard point ships you demolish NPC's with anything you have. Better to loadout for CMDR's IMO. Unless you only play solo then it doesn't really matter.

Right now I just run with a full Torpedo load out for trading, have not fully unloaded on anyone with them yet but I imagine it would be painful for them, better be worth it cost 120k to load all those tubes.

Ok, so I did a bit of a loadout change last night, specifically the turrets on the nacelles (both the following were using A class power distributers, sensors and power plant and against a range of PvE target sizes from Sidewinders to Anacondas) :-
.
Large beam turrets : You need to be close to get these to work properly. At about 1.5km or more they tend to fire like they're cross-eyed and miss the target. And they will overheat your systems fast. Once everything is overheated, with 4 pips to weapons, they will continue to fire and effectively disable whatever other weapons you have in the medium hardpoints. And they cost 19 million each! All in all, not worth it.
.
Large cannon turrets : What can I say. They look good when they fire. That's about it. Out of ~30 shots, they managed to land 1 hit at less than 1km range. When they hit they do some serious damage, but your chances of hitting, even on an Anaconda at 800m, is pretty slim!
.
So I went back to burst turrets. These definitely seem the best out of the lot if you go for turrets, with a nice balance between heat management and actually hitting the target.
.
I'll probably try some loadouts using gimballed weapons on the nacelles some time soon to see how they fare.

Fly safe Commanders :)

2 x C2 Gim Multicannons on the left side. (Might try swapping the one in the C3 spot for a C3 turreted cannon.)
1 x C3 Gim Beam and 1 x C2 Fixed Beam on the right side.
