Imperial courier why you so weird

After "I" (still blaming the A.I.)wrecked my imperial clipper and having to pay 2mil cr to get it back I decided I can't pilot big ships anymore so I sold it and bought an imperial courier (I like the designs and inside of imperial ships). Much to my surprise a fully A class courier is about 6mil . Its fast well armed the shields are God like it also looks great. The insurance on it is 300k(so cheap). In my opinion more of a compact heavy fighter than a courier. Might try some true bounty hunting soon any tips.

Tips? Get that strong shield even beefier with shield boosters, get a bunch of kinetic weapons (so you can fit more boosters), and go on assassination missions. Drop 'Conda's like flies.

Pff, one C2F Beam Laser on the nose and 2 multicannons on the wings. I do not need shield boosters, but SCBs. The powerdraw/MJ equation is so much more better than boosters. Ofcourse, boosters offer more durability in the long term, but in a PvP fight, it is about who has the most MJ. Two SCBs can offer far mor MJ than boosters with lower power draw. Besides, 400 MJ on a courier are more than enough. Better get two chaffs for the heroic gimballed players amongst us. 0 fixed weapons and watch their Pythons and condas fear the courier!

I ran that build for a while, works very nicely, but switched to 2 fixed beams on the wings, with the multi under the nose (build is linked in my sig) Got to agree with you on SCBs + Chaff being better than stacked boosters, especially on such a small and nimble fighter.

I run 2 shield boosters and 1 scb with a med gemballed cannon on the nose and multi cannons on the wings. Much lols it's so small but so evil unfortunately I underestimated the speed/ maneuverability and I wrecked(at full speed) it into a station doing a smuggling mission (don't worry the shields held up not even a scratch)

I just bought one for the lulz. A-rated it, etc. It's OK, but the engines are too noisy when in combat. It sounds like someone doing the hoovering. ;-)

Yes but the cockpit looks like a fighter jet and it's so quick and maneuverable it kills all.

My god it's butt ugly. And it sounds like a blender. I wish it looked like this:

But it is an awesome ship for the price.

Good lord! You can get 640mj of shield strength on one of these puppies with a 3a Prismatic shield gen and 3x A0 boosters!

That's a whole lot of headbutting pwar right there!!!

Oh yeah a fully upgraded courier has more shield strength than than an almost maxed python

I think I might sell my Clipper and stick to the smaller ships tbh and run one of these for a while. I've been looking for an alternative to my headbutting Vulture load out for a while, and this looks like a lot of fun.

Im just not enjoying the big ships at the mo.

Well, I'm a bit bored with my A-rated combat Anaconda, Python and FDL so I was looking for something fun and small again. Tried the Courier, but can't stand the engine noise. Then I dusted off my Vulture and took it out on some Assassination missions - I'd forgotten how nimble this bird is, and how two large pulse lasers can bring down anything.

The mary sue ship of elite.

Now, i get that it is a top of the line ship but at 35 tonnes it realky should not be able to FIT all that.

If anything the shields should be halved and it would STILL outshine all other small vessels -- And i own one.

A courier? Nope, rather moderate range and far too tanky.

And the Clipper is a long range vessel?
