It's not an imperial design, is just been adapted. It should look like a mash-up IMO.
Agreed, and I think it does.
Oh yay, another small (aka useless) ship.
I'll find a use for it.

The only way it's useless is if you're doing PvP only, otherwise the small ship's are where the fun of ED is.
Plenty of small ships still have utility in PvP.
Yes but they lack SCB room and that's the current thing that determine's the loser in PvP,. If you can stack enough you never reall can lose unless you're to dumb or stubborn to run. In group's sure they have usees, but 1v1 no bigger win's due to stupid game design.

He who has the most SCBs wins
I think I should have said the one with more SCB's will never really lose, he has far too much time to know when to run. Again this is assuming 1v1 and smaller ship fighting bigger ship.I don't agree that the deciding factor in PvP conflict is SCB capacity. It's a factor, but only one of many, and it's certainly not going to the limiting factor of something like an Eagle (even an improved one), which has shielding that will collapse under a stiff breeze.
The less experience people have in PvP the more likely they are to say this.

I hate the spoiler. It makes no sense to me, looks ugly imo and spoils the perception of top-bottom symmetry (i.e. I would rather have the same spoiler on the bottom, too, or none at all).
Generally though, i would love if they would just taken this very model instead, not just the canopy, but everything, including the much smaller nacelles and streamlined nacelles and of course the absense of the spoiler:
