Imperial Navy ascension opportunity - what am I doing wrong?

I'm currently trying to attain my Facece permit, which I believe becomes available at Count.

At the moment I am have both an Allied reputation and am ranked Knight with the empire, as well as being allied with most if not all manor factions. Should I be gaining ranks when completing the "Imperial Navy ascension opportunity" missions, has something changed or am I missing something REALLY obvious?

I must have completed between 5-10 of these over the past few days and have not gained one rank.

I got the Facece permit recently and I believe it was at Earl.

Try to contact support if you can't rank up at all. I had to do 3-4 missions per rank but I've heard of others who's been completely stuck as well.

Yep they are bugged, and the response I got from support was they can't do anything about it, as the permit should be issued once you achieve Count,
however it was not,

Yes, there's not much you're doing wrong, OP. The naval missions have issues with them still, including awarding of permits (which I was told in a ticket should be in a separate bulletin board announcement and not automatic). If in doubt, send a ticket under Can Play The Game -->either Lost Rank and/or No Reward.

Also a new bug is that it now says you get paid for the missions BUT in fact its the fines that are stated in the buletin board lol

Mostly a waste of time right now... "mostly". Started at Baron Rank 2 days ago, I also wanted to get the Facece permit. And did, eventually. Wasted a lot of time doing missions in Acheanar. Found a quicker way though. There is a system nearby named Liabeze. This system has 2 stations. These stations ONLY offer pro-bono missions. Take only the repair stations, or charity missions for the 4 empire minor factions. After you take all of them at one station, quit to menu and switch game modes (ie: Open > Solo) go the missions again and take the new ones, then switch back (Solo > Open) and so forth. This will get you quick access to the Rank missions. Then take about 5 or 6 of the easy Rank missions (Assassinations, smuggling, and black box missions only) Then complete them all. You should get a rank doing 1 of those 6.

Also, you "should" get the Facece permit at Count, but you won't. You will however get it at Earl, which is where I'm at now.

Blimey, I just wish i'd have done a bit more reading before committing best part of a day towards this. I'll keep messing around with it for a bit, see if I can find a work around.

ugh I havent been playing as much as I used to and I did reach Count last weekend...but no facece permit....forgot all about it...now I gotta go do more to get to earl then...

Yeah, I've spent many a wasted evening brown-nosing the Imps and the Feds. Shuttling around dozens of different systems... taking on poxy little courier jobs that don't even cover the fuel... donating enough to impress Bono & Geldof...

I used to get invites for systems I already had permits for (Vega) not I don't get the permit for systems that I should (Facece).

But never mind, I'm optimistic it will get fixed in time. Personally I'm staying away from ascension missions until its sorted, there's plenty of other stuff to do.
