Any chance this is gonna be fixed any time soon.
I don't mind having to grind missions to gain rank, but having to visit a million stations and board flipping just to get a rank up mission to spawn is ridiculous.
That is if they even spawn at all.
Why can't we get an inbox message when we are eligable for rank up, wich sends you to a system near you where you can pick up the mission.
I quit playing a few months ago after trying to get some imperial rank when i ran into the exact same problem and i'm about to quit again if this doesn't get fixed soon.

When it comes to fthe feds i find it interesting, because I've never had any issues with rank-up missions. I became eligible for rear admiral 2 days ago and got the mission almost straight away while doing data missions. Perhaps I was doing it in a lucky location? If so, then I recommend systems around Lembava, like Pikum or Arietis 47. Didn't leave a radius of even 40 LY around Lembava and went from chief petty officer to rear admiral in less than a week of fairly casual data mission grind. Interestingly enough, most of those rank up missions sent me to Lau Gundi. (or something similar sounding)

Fwiw: you can continue to gain rank even if you cant find a naval mission. If you gain enough you can then do multiple rank missions in a row: progress isnt lost when the bar is at 100%.

I know, but it's kinda annoying that means there is no way to check progress and efficiency.
And like i said it's ridiculous that trying to get rank up missions to spawn is a grind on it's own
