Imperial Paint Jobs

I finally got my Cutter, then I had a look in the Store for good paint jobs.

Sadly (because I'd give FD money in a good cause) I didn't find one I liked more than the default colour scheme! I was attracted by the metallic blue and a few others, but basically the metallic ones seem "bling" and the colourful ones are gaudy. IMO the empire doesn't do bling or gaudy.

So what I'd really like is something with real Imperial refinement. Mostly white with a few gold highlights. White with a light blue stripe. Slate grey with salmon chevrons.

I wait in hope. I like to buy from the Store regularly, but I don't want to buy paintjobs I know I will never use.

So you seriously don’t think it looks good in Galvanized Cobalt and Galvanized Copper?

IMO an imperial dude would love “bling” :D .

The metallic blue was my favourite out of the available options. I think it's a bit "in yer face" though. Think of that lady with the very posh voice who does traffic control - would she give landing clearance to that? I'd prefer Imperial white with a few metallic blue embellishments. :)

Yes, she absolutely would :D. We certainly don’t agree here. I think the blue looks very stylish and elegant. Not too much at all. It would be nom-nom for an imperial.

The only paint job that is worthy of the Cutter isthe Galvanized. End of discussion. :D

I'm looking forward to Galvanized showing up on the iEagle, Courier, and Clipper.

Galvanized = imperial as F

Yeah, I have gold, and it's a little over-the-top for bling. There's tasteful gold accents, and then there's the gold paint job. They are not the same thing.

It's like gold teeth with embedded cubic zirconium "grills" and piles of gold jewelry heaped on.

I like the galvanized and chrome paintjobs for my Cutter.
Chrome is my favourite for this ship.
The galvanized copper is very cool too.
