After this painful registration finally I'm here.
I have same problem. Thought gonna wait till update. Now I seem can't catch the break with those Empire missions.
I am stuck at 100% because to get the mission you have to have minimal rating with the fraction giving you the mission. So I finally see one, then I go around doing chores for them, even though I have zero interest in that faction.They are offering me only very small increments in reputation. And then I go back to the same faction and now they not offering me naval ascension missions no more!
This update has been so far very frustrating and really enjoyed the game so far (prior to this update), but if this is going to be like this from now on,where everywhere you go are neutral regardless of you reputation with major power, than I have better thing to do with my free time than spend it hours working of some influence with some xyz faction and which then do not give you the missions you were working your influence for in the first place.
You would think having rep of 71% with empire would take less than 4 missions to move 10% from just about to complete neutral to the cordial influence.
