am i the only 1 that finds it very odd that the empire uses roman style of goverment but british monarchy rank system vs say

optio
centurion
tribune
legatus
imperator
etc etc
and dont quote me on the exact order i doubt it is correct but final imperial rank of imperator would be cool

Ah yes. We must remember that Britain once was absorbed into the Roman Empire. For a little while that is. All Hail Emperor Claudius, the God of Colchester! Er... I mean, history tend to be layered by the actions of what transpired over time, and so we end up with a conglomerate of elements leading up to the present here in 3301, also slightly adjusted by the geographical location the creators of Elite found themselves in, after this messy business of being born.
