So, I'm getting a little braver and decided to jump to a conflict zone to have a butcher's. It wasn't to fight and I was planning on skeddadling at the first sign of trouble. I am pretty bad at fighting, thus you can count my attempts at that on one hand, although I bought a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick yesterday, which I am hoping will cut down on the erratic moves I currently make with my DualShock controller. (I've yet to unbox it, so guess what my plans are for today...)
Anyway, I was pleased to find out that I could roam around and watch the fight unmolested, enjoying the spectacle. What puzzled me was that the Imperial ships had a blue halo, as though their shields were being tested from all angles simultaneously and continuously. Obviously they weren't, so what was it? Do Imperial ships have special shields? Is it the ship types that have this, rather than simply the Imperial ones, so I might find Feds with them later on too? I started chasing some, so I know they weren't receiving hits, but the blueness remained.
