Imperial space buggy?

I've crashed close to 30 times trying to get out of this station in the Empire capital. (I was sight seeing the various factions) On the way in it crashed twice, and now I've been stuck in the station! Any one else having this problem?

lift off from the landing pad and then log off then log back on. You will be outside the station.

It crashes before the elevator brings me to the top of the dock! I think my Elite: Dangerous career was just ended short by bugs.
