Newcomer / Intro "Imperial Summons", what am I supposed to do?

"IMPERIAL SUMMONS
Greetings, Commander. I am hereby issuing a summons for all your personal attendance at our diplomatic branch in Achenar. Upon arrival, you will receive an encrypted communique from Regional Task Force HQ."

What station in Achenar and I supposed to show up at?

Sorry I don't know but I would just try getting Achenar and see if you get that communication which should tell you which station.

You don't have to do anything. Its a badly worded statement that you now have the permit and may got there if you wish

Any of them, I don't think it matters. The mission will show up on your bulletin board as a naval ascension opportunity.

I don't think you will get a further mission. As Dommarraa says I think I just means you now have a permit for that system.

Dom is correct. It's a rope-a-dope. The only thing missing is someone killing you when you get there.

Also, there is no point to doing the Empire ranks unless you want the Clipper (available at Baron). None of the permit systems have anything different from any other system. I'm not trying to spoil anything, just trying to save you some wasted time if you were hoping for anything else.

Fed ranks are different though, there are actually some benefits to getting to visit the permit systems.

OK, this is really irritating. There is no 'rope-a-dope'. This is just an incomplete mission sequence or it is broken.

Let's hope they fix this with powerplay. At a minimum they should change the wording to something to the effect 'in recognition of your relationship to the Empire you now have access to xxx system'.

Sounds to me like they are trying to lure you into the system so they can incarcerate you. I wouldn't trust the Empire.
